It's to remind the local non-millionaire scum to try a bit harder in life.

I think another dog fountain is in order here....

Maybe we should just let it gracefully recede into its true purpose: the world's largest transit themed art installation--featuring actual functioning trains and 3D rendeerbots!

The first shot really shows the beauty of the revitalized U of T campus. When the fall colours come out it will be even more glorious.

I count at least 5 shades of grey. Guess they couldn't come up with fifty.

This is turning out to be a rather handsome--dare I say sexy--addition to this stretch of the Front Street canyon.

I suspect Ford got his inspiration watching a YouTube video about The Line.

Personally, I'd lean in the direction soft, creamy yellow. Would go nicely with the setting sun imo.

I have yet to see a more stark depiction of dystopian misery than what's on view here. On the plus side, it's conveniently close to the local crematorium.

Wait...don't we already have an undeveloped, infill peninsula, just to the east of The Island, that's about the perfect size for a small commuter airport? *Ducks into bomb shelter with 10+ years of provisions*

Adding to WFH, A.I. will likely further decimate office jobs in the coming one or two decades (and beyond). I honestly can't see the demand for office space ever returning to the levels they were at pre-covid. It's a different world now and we're never going back.

Surely the downtown core can't offer a more challenging site for subway construction than the urban jungle of Yonge and Egg.

Really glad to find this new thread. I live just a few blocks from this place and am part of a group that meets here on a regular basis. It's actually quite a fantastic complex, especially for such a small city, and I'm amazed that it's financially sustainable.

Well, here in the thread-where-time-stands-still, it really does appear that this thing's barely moved in 2 or 3 months. At this rate it won't top out until next summer (at which point Pinnacle One Yonge will have overtaken it, and CIBC 2 will be ready for its new occupants). And, keep in mind...
