Toronto Toronto | GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

From: https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/The_Canadian "Trains returning to Vancouver would leave Union Station either from the East as it came in from (if turned around prior), or from the West. In the latter case, the train would then proceed North along the Newmarket Subdivision, shared by GO...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

One of the worst things about the Union Station reno was them moving Pilot Coffee into the basement. It was way more interesting in the ticket hall and the smell in there was amazing in the mornings coming in.

    Vaughan Toronto | Transit City Condos: TC4 & TC5 | 174.34m | 50s | SmartCentres | Diamond Schmitt

The clouds were awesome this morning just before that short storm rolled in. West tower has passed the north tower and will soon be topped out. Also included to the right is the growing Vaughan Mills hub.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I'm assuming there will still be a detour for the majority of the project and the time savings would come from the tie-in work for the new grade sep to the existing road where the detour is in the way - similar to the Davenport Diamond sort of where the whole thing cant be built until the detour...

    Vaughan Toronto | VMC Block A6 and A7 | 198.6m | 62s | SmartCentres | Hariri Pontarini

VMC continues to grow! The planning docs for the former Walmart site have finally shown up on PlanIt. Many more pics in the docs - mods please rename or create multiple threads as you see fit. Looks like Block A7 (62, 54, and 36s) will be the first phase (after Artwalk): The docs for the...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Rutherford - The West Platform opened today and so the project is now mostly complete. The new bus loop and PPUDO opened last week allowing the final parking lot piece in the NW corner of the site to be demo'd. A few more finishes and cleanup across the Site as well ongoing. The East Platform...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

That site is being redeveloped and the pedestrian bridge will connect to the multi use path that goes all the way south to Rutherford GO. Parking demand has fallen off a cliff. Rutherford is now way overbuilt and Maple also has the overflow lots just north that have opened since the initial...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

They actually got back to me on Twitter today. Looks like Rutherford took all the parking structure money available. The completion of station works in late 2025 is also news I don't think we've seen yet.

A few more pics from Maple GO. Kenaidan is mobilized in the small overflow parking lot to the south to start works at Maple. Tree clearing is underway on both sides of the current fence for the new retaining wall: The Eagle Rock Way extension for the bus loop is progressing with the retaining...

2022 Transportation Master Plan (TMP) - York Region

The Jan 2022 cost estimate is on Page 77 here: https://www.york.ca/sites/default/files/documents/Langstaff%20Road%20Class%20EA%20ESR_January%202022%20PART%204%20-%20AODA.pdf I wouldn't say $300M is too expensive considering what we spend on other projects nowadays. They could make it even...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

You can find the planned staging plan on the EA here: https://www.oakville.ca/assets/general%20-%20residents/kerrEA.pdf Presumably this is still the plan that was going to built, the existing Kerr would be used as the detour while the new Kerr is built parallel. Having to build it in two...

    Vaughan Toronto | Transit City Condos: TC4 & TC5 | 174.34m | 50s | SmartCentres | Diamond Schmitt

North Tower is topped out. December 2020 Ground Floor to March 2022 - another impressive project by CentreCourt. Big glass and framing supply issues though as changerang showed in his pic above. M1 and M2 really coming up in the background as well.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I'm wondering if there are cost savings to be found if they temporarily close Kerr Street to build the underpass rather than the typical strategy of building a detour. It seems the access across the tracks in that area is already pretty good with Trafalgar, Cross, and Dorval already all...
