That's a massive improvement. Is it still IBI? Looks advanced for IBI ... Edit: Looks like a big curved slab edge. Also looks like the slabs are of varying depths every second floor based on the shadows from the vertical i-beams.

Jeeeeeesus this is ugly on the inside. The kids rooms look absolutely terrifying and clearly designed by people without kids.

And yet the Neigborhood directly to the east is trying to squash the development which is already at a modest height for the node ...

@AlexBozikovic Curious your take on this particular one with the new government advisory panel. Do you think it will have teeth and will this still get whittled to 10 storeys? This is a poster child for neighborhoods being prioritized ...

But it is on at least two 50+ storey towers I am currently working on, especially for rebar.

That's true - but I imagine trades are renegotiating ...

I hadn't watched *that* closely, so thanks for that . Speed is still worrying, given the massive cost pressure in steel, in particular, past below-grade delays on this project, and high-leverage combined with interest rate pressures. Maybe it's because these are atypical floors?

I have been watching this and have never seen a construction site move more slowly. Does anyone know what is going on? Bit worried maybe the steel trades are walking off given inflationary pressures.

A new application was filed yesterday, I'm told from a consultant on the file ... I'd expect to see some new drawings soon?

    I don't think so ... Aura I'd pretty far north ....

Listen man --- no one was buying in, and the file still says "Reserve Properties." LOL.

    Toronto Toronto | 43 Junction | 117.5m | 35s | Diamond Corp | Core Architects

Diamond usually does the old "Zone and Flip" so I am not confident this is what will get built - but I love the central iconic tower.

So I Confirmed with a consultant on the file today that Capital Developments is involved. Not sure in what level, but the R.C.D. theory starting to get traction!

Purchaser is R.C.D 8 Elm Corp. Maybe a partnership?

I heard Capital Developments from a broker I work with.

Obviously this went to LPAT. 29-storeys at Yonge-Bloor is imminently defendable. I said this before, but the neighborhood should have an ask (e.g., streetscape, lighting, etc.) and try to settle -- because they aren't going to get enough height reduction, if any, at LPAT to matter to them. I...

The fish sculpture from the water feature is actually being stored at a gallery in Yorkville. It also looks like there are installing something where the water feature was. I would assume public art.

They are shadow boxes and that is a render; just so happens that they aren't lying to you like ever other render developers put out. Do you really think that the Fosters building would have been built with no shadow boxes and no vertical mullions?
