    Car2Go Illegal Parking - Solutions?

Isn't it your neighbors (and Car2Go clients) who are parking the Car2Go on the street, rather than the company itself?

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

This thread has become unreadable. We're feeding a troll that has chosen to define "cyclist friendly" as "scofflaw friendly" or perhaps "ASBO friendly". For all I know, someone's ghost has taken over AB's forum account.

    Uniqlo

Any update here? I see the announcement in Jan/15 targeted an Eaton Centre opening in Fall/16. Which is soon-ish.

    Cabbagetown

There was a crew working on the weekend at 456-458 Parliament St, the half-finished row of buildings north of the House on Parliament. They took down the metal fence and seemed to be putting in new windows/doors at ground level. There's a row of buildings north of Carlton which at ground...

To be fair, I thought it was actually a well written and well reasoned response!

    Allan Gardens Revitalization Plan

+1. I don't buy Skeezix' pro-dog arguments (my small children have had awful experiences with antisocial dogs parks and I wish at least some places were dog-free), but most dog parks tend to have a positive neighbourhood effect, and most dogs & dog owners are cool.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

It's mid March and I will say the snow seems to be gone for good (touch wood). The Richmond/Adelaide lanes were really dirty last week, but they seem to be using some sort of street sweeper on them. Combined with the rain we've been having they're in good clear shape. The number of cyclists...

A Citroen SM! Be still, my beating heart!

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Leap year update - Feb 29/16. Only a month left of winter. The paths are clear and I cycled with a few others in the Richmond lane this morning. The biggest hazard this year has been large chunks of dry granular road salt crunching under the tires.

Any connection to the George's BBQ on Dundas at Pembroke?

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

The funny part is, a shouting scofflaw (like you describe) or an assertive-obessive rule-follower (like perhaps @pedalpapa) can both end up looking rather alike...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Agree - my concern is that at a certain point it becomes counterproductive (reinforcing to drivers that cyclists are fundamentally lunatics). That said there are a lot of different cyclists and styles...those who overtake busses and those who don't...young & old...fast and slow...and to each...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Just checked out his youtube page - he sure does see a lot. I've wondered if those wearing camera somehow run into more "trouble" on their commutes. This confirms it! Related to separated lanes: there's a sign on Adelaide between Church and Jarvis that says "Cyclists Dismount", but I am not...

Just did a google search. Confirm that this is 100% the guy I see everyday.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Simply a lovely ride into work this morning (in spite of the snow). The Sherbourne and Richmond bike lanes are clear of snow and well salted. Every morning I see the same cyclist coming east along Adelaide or Shuter, then hanging a left to go north on Sherbourne. Let me paint a picture...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Really? Why - a special downtown circulatory service? Richmond-Adelaide bike lane report: balmy +5c this morning, I was in a back of 6 from Sherbourne to Bay. I had the odd experience of being closely followed by a Honda sport motorcycle in the Adelaide cycle lane from Victoria to Jarvis...

    Regent Park

Really? Now that you mention it, I have seen a number of new cats roaming Cabbagetown lately but did not make the connection to RP. Interesting theory!

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I think the issue is, a cyclist might hit a pedestrian who is getting on or off a bus. Why not try to minimize that sort of conflict (if space allows)?

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

More signs are up on the new Richmond/Adelaide section, spaced every 100 feet or so, warning of a $150 fine for blocking the lanes. I haven't found the lanes to be blocked terribly often, but I do appreciate that the signs are helpful. Also it helps make it even more clear for motorists that...

    Regent Park

I will echo AB's comments that the community "vibe" in Regent Park right now seems pretty good. Whoever the are residents are - owners of condos, market rate renters, or subsidized TCHC tenants - they're OK by me. I haven't really seen any sketchy business going on at all.
