    Edmonton | Village on 121 | 60.04m | 18s | Nearctic Group | GEC

I'm pleasantly surprised to see this one back. It's been a great week of news so far regarding towers in Edmonton. GEC as the architect gives me a lot of confidence in this as well.

    Upper Vista Towers | 108m | 33s | EverTrust

EverTrust is new to the game in Canada but their founder did very well in China and supposedly has deep pockets. Not sure how high the chances are this gets built as a two tower project but I think if it does it'll be high quality...

    Misc. Parks and Greenspace Projects

Completely agree about the bike lanes, North America purposefully built itself to be car centric and car reliant but it's time to change that, and Edmonton could be a leader of that initiative. Bike lanes are important to have around an entire city not just the core, and are perfectly functional...

    Edmonton | Hat @ 122 | 35.96m | 12s | Cidex Group | NORR

As he described, it shows them currently working on floor 3/12. The trees won't be in the way of Filips view for too much longer :D As someone who doesn't go to downtown often I always appreciate these photos and updates from everyone, regardless of whether or not the image is perfect.

Sheesh you must have the longest spring break ever 😉

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I think it's more of getting back to normal than a surge but I can tell you for sure way more people are taking the LRT this year than last year, hard to even get on some mornings it's so full.

    Centurion 118 | 47m | 15s | Next Architecture

Is this the new proposal for the Devonshire project? They are both listed on the same lot (10135 118 St).

    Edmonton | Winspear Centre Completion Project | 29.87m | 4s | Winspear Centre | Andrew Bromberg

This has been under construction since I joined these forums and its still not close 🤣

    East Junction | 86m | 25s | Regency Developments | DER + Associates

I don't mean to sound naive but why is the city still giving the green light to Regency after 2 holes in the ground (Emerald and Tower 101) and the horror that is 121 West. The only good they have to show is the Pearl which finished I believe 8 years ago. We need to be holding a higher standard.

    East Junction | 86m | 25s | Regency Developments | DER + Associates

First time back on the forum in months... what on Earth is this. I see the Regency/DER wombo combo has struck again.

    Edmonton | Origami Building | ?m | 3s

Very nice, our city desperately needs more colour and unique design, this quirky building brings both of those. Of course it's more risky and expensive than a white or grey cube but if you hate Edmonton being framed as dull and boring you need more of this, let's see what our council has to say...

    Edmonton | Horne and Pitfield Building Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Limak Investments

Thats fair, I like this one but I don't love it by any means. I also agree with the points made above that this could and should just be developed on an empty lot if it's developed at all. Man the Mackenzie tower was gorgeous, its a shame we never got to see it built.

    Edmonton | Connect Centre | 56.3m | 16s | ONE Properties | DIALOG

Welcome to Skyrise Edmonton :) Yes it will be 42 stories, 148m (Stantec and JW are 251m and 192m respectively). It's listed as having 582 units right now. In my opinion it isn't going to lineup well with it's current renderings, it looks and is much cheaper than the two towers standing right...

    Edmonton | Horne and Pitfield Building Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Limak Investments

I'm not the greatest at critiquing the details of architecture but I like the look of that tower. Looking through the thread the main concern seems to be keeping the west and north facade of the original building, from the render I think they have kept the West and South and we don't know about...

Thanks for sharing, I know not everything will turn out perfectly but this seems like an awesome place.

    Edmonton | Glenora Park | 81.99m | 22s | ONE Properties | Wallman Architects

No problem, I understood what you meant quickly but thats only because I know about the buildings and our downtown map pretty well, if you had been talking about transit or art around the city or something of that sort I would've been lost. You're one of the most knowledgable members on the...

    Edmonton | Glenora Park | 81.99m | 22s | ONE Properties | Wallman Architects

First off, welcome to Skyrise Edmonton, I see that was your first post :) I don't disagree with your statement, but I disagree with the sentiment of it in general. You're right on occasion like just now his post caused some confusion, but he provides a lot of valuable and detailed information...

    Edmonton | Glenora Park | 81.99m | 22s | ONE Properties | Wallman Architects

It's called J123 on these forums, not sure if thats an official name. https://edmonton.skyrisecities.com/database/projects/j123 Jasper 124 is the Hat @124 (it's not on Jasper) which we know from the other hats around thats probably an official name 🤣...

    Edmonton | Metro Line LRT | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

The overall seating capacity of Rogers Place is 20,734... when the ice is covered up and there is a stage in the middle and a concert is ready to be performed. When you need to use a 200 foot long by 85 foot wide sheet of ice for a hockey game, the capacity is diminished to 18,500 which is the...

    Edmonton | Muriel Ross Abdurahman Court | ?m | 4s | Carlson Construction | Voschell Architecture and Design | ?m | 4s

Thanks for sharing this @CplKlinger I love the Fort Saskatchewan information you're able to provide regarding its history and ongoing projects. We all love Edmonton and as it's growing at what I think is quite a strong pace its important the cities and towns in our metropolitan area are able to...
