    St Lawrence Market

Every Thursday and Friday at closing time, vendors are eager to shutter while fending off hordes of shoppers trying to make last-minute purchases. So, I think we may be underestimating the value of personal time.

The food menu looks very plain, but I'm sure it will do well considering that Starbucks was fairly busy even with Neo just across the street.

Sorry, I meant Frederick Street. Edited above.

PATH Network Expansion (various, various, various)

I used to fantasize about westward PATH expansion when I lived at King & Spadina. I don't think there's any way it'll happen, even when restaurant row is razed for condos. I think a slightly more realistic expansion is along Front Street, maybe to Blue Jays Way. I doubt The Well will be...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

There's no enforcement after ~9:15AM this week, at least east of Yonge. I've seen several vehicles passing through the intersections at Jarvis and Church, even squeezing past streetcars to do so. Traffic is extremely light, so it's not making much difference either way.

    Toronto Toronto | Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Remember that the experience isn't limited to commuters, but also the tens of thousands of office workers and new condo residents surrounding the station who are starved for neighbourhood amenities. If you recall the outdoor markets held over the past few years in the plaza, they were busy to...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

"Farmr" has opened at 140 The Esplanade. It looks considerably more contemporary and expensive than its predecessor, Time Square Fish & Chips. It'll be interesting to see if it succeeds in this location, but it's kind of exciting to see something new and refreshing open here. The restaurants...

That would be a good stop after the 1st Annual Underpass Park Farmers' Market in Corktown, which is also this Thursday.

    Toronto PATH Retail

Porchetta & Co is opening a location in FCP across from the Robo McDonalds. It's in a recently subdivided space where the old Japanese restaurant used to be. The other unit next door will be another raw juice place from the looks of it.

Are the elegant, inoffensive, coordinated waste containers destined to be replaced with huge black and blue bins, or does this park somehow fall outside the purview of Solid Waste Management?
