    The Junction

I passed the Subway several times over the weekend and it was always packed with people. The neighbourhood likes its subs, apparently. Also, the BlogTO comments note a florist will be one of the new Campbell block businesses; that will be a nice addition!

Does anyone know if the Korean Church at High Park and Annette ever sold? I don't go by that intersection too often, but noticed recently that the Colliers signs have been taken down.

The Hospital at High Park. Brutal indeed! Does anyone know what kind of retail is going in? A coffee shop or a grocery store would be very convenient for all the people living in the towers.

Address At High Pk (Chestnut Hill Homes) - Real Estate

My partner and I are thinking about renting a unit here. What is like to live in? How is the soundproofing?

Pea Soup! (Excellent and enjoyable shots, btw)

Nice!! I've ridden the Steel Dragon several times (went on a weekday when there was nobody there - the staff didn't even make us get out of our seats!), so it looks like a trip to Wonderland will have to happen this summer. Now they just need to put in onsen!

    Architectural styles unique to Toronto

What about these guys in East York? Barnyard spectacular.

    Dundas Street West Revitalization

Unfortunately a few of the benches and artwork have been tagged *sigh*. And there appears to be some kind of machinery on the Dundas-Sheridan site - it's big and yellow and has a big scoopy shovel thing. (Clearly machinery is not my forte. I played with My Little Ponies when I was a kid).

    Dundas Street West Revitalization

I just noticed the new benches and bike rings the other day - they look great! Also, does anyone know what's happening at the North-East corner of Dundas and Sheridan?

    Birch Cliff (Kingston/Warden)

How awful! Those gorgeous trees! Hope the houses and people in them were ok though.

Should i buy an old condo?

That article, and the subsequent comments, really made me re-think condo ownership!

Cozy West Queen St. West Cafés (West of Spadina)?

I realize it may be a bit farther north than what you're looking for, but if the weather's nice and a walk is in order I suggest Ella's Uncle at Dundas and Bellwoods. Good drinks and yummy snacks they bake themselves.

    Dufferin Grove

The Common is now serving wine, whisky and charcuterie in the evenings - or maybe just Sunday evenings? Not entirely sure. Does anyone know what's going in at 1079 College (it was for lease, and currently the windows are papered over)? Or at the south-east corner of Dufferin and College...

    Moving to Toronto (New grad)

With two other roommates you shouldn't have a problem finding something affordable between the 2-3 of you i.e. $500 to $800 each. Granted, I'm not sure what you consider "affordable" ! Everyone's going to have their own opinions, of course, but these are some of my suggestions for...

    Dufferin Grove

I didn't see a thread yet so I thought I'd start one. I'm about to move to the College/Dufferin area and I'm pleased as punch. Anyone else live here? Thoughts on the neighbourhood?

    Hot Apple Cider ?

Thanks for the suggestions! It turns out we'll be in Little Italy, but there's still an entire winter to get through; lots of time for apple cider in the city. And as someone who used to work at a Second Cup in high school, I just can't bring myself to go on a date there. I have horrible...

    Hot Apple Cider ?

Say it's a chilly winter evening and a girl and her date want to get some hot apple cider. Other than Starbucks, where would one go in this city?

Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

Menus! The Chinese restaurant menus are fantastic, but I keep coming across some mysterious ingredient called 'subgum'. Anyone know what it is?

    Cabbagetown

Seriously! Although I read somewhere that they're trying to keep their price point to around $15 (for food). It will be interesting to see how this one turns out.
