Hmm. I'm never one to discourage an animated streetscape but it does look like a placeholder. Guess we can move it out of the "high and mid-rise" thread.

King Street is just relentless I'm fine with both renderings. Just get it done.

Plazacorp strikes again. What garbage. Can we delete everything housed within the Fort York Blvd, Lake Shore Blvd, Bathurst St area and start over?

Toronto Toronto | The Address at High Park | ?m | 12s | Chestnut Hill | BDP Quadrangle

Wow. I really thought this would be one of the trendsetters for mid-rise along the avenues for this city. I was hoping it would set a good precedent of a building that increased density where needed, added some style to the streetscape, but didn't get the neighbourhood residents too riled up...

While I'm no lover of Bazis, I'm much more worried by the fact that Plaza Corp is involved.

77 Bloor St. W ( 2 storey rooftop conversion and canopy)

Wow. What on earth happened? I worked in this building for over a year, most of 2012-part of 2013. I left when they were just finishing the new windows. They should have stopped there. That canopy is an absolute mess by the looks of things. Regarding the sign, TD is phasing out the...

    Toronto Toronto | 300 Front Street West | 156.05m | 49s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

Dear God that shorter, all greyish-white portion with the off-setting balconies looks like a prison. The top of the building looks like they didn't even incorporate it into the design. By the looks of it they were designing a rectangle from the bottom up...and then abruptly stopped.

    Toronto Toronto | 2 St Thomas | 80.46m | 26s | KingSett Capital | Hariri Pontarini

So true. That was a great building, I hope the one at St. Thomas & Sultan never goes. Remembering my U of T days (not all that long ago, graduated in 2009)...this little area looks quite different.

2 new grocery stores? That is big news (for me personally as I live right in between them and really dislike trekking into Liberty Village for the Metro) for the King West community. King west of Bathurst doesn't see as much as action as King east of Bathurst, hopefully this will help to change...

That sounds interesting. I just checked out Pikard Chilton's website and they seem to have done some good looking buildings in the past. I'm hoping for something great for the corner of Front/Spadina and not just another condo.

77 King Street (TD Centre) Revitalization

Best looking office buildings in the city for me, sorry (current employer) BMO, but our headquarters will never compete with (former employer) TD's.

    Toronto Toronto | 170 Spadina | 46.94m | 12s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

Totally agree. I didn't love the first one, but it was much better than this. It doesn't even manage to look appealing in the rendering, something that most render artists make sure of. It doesn't even come close to working with its surroundings, it really craps all over them, actually. Let's...

    Toronto Toronto | Bungalow on Mercer | 62.79m | 17s | Kalovida | Scott Shields

In regards to the above reference to Manhattan, I both agree and disagree. On the infill side, yes I agree, we need more of this. Maybe not in this exact location, as the King/John intersection is already insane, but more of this in general. On the other hand, it is buildings just like the...

    Toronto Toronto | The Tower at King West | ?m | 26s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

I don't know if I would narrow it down to only King West's ugliest. Toronto's? Ontario's? The Western Hemisphere's? lol

    Toronto Toronto | Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

I'm normally much more an observeror on these forums but there is so much wrong with this statement that I just had to weigh in. Your analogy is pathetic. Aura is that bad. It doesn't matter if it is 200ft or 2000ft. It's bad. The fact that it is tall is not a saving grace. We're just getting...
