So nice to see that parking structure being demolished. With this project, BAC East, and INDX going in across the street (as well as potential BIA and streetscape improvements in the Financial District), I actually think that this would be a cool area to live. It's vibrant and alive during the week and dead on weekends lol. Perfect!

They are really moving on the parking garage. Almost 50% gone.

I just took a look at this site out my office window. They're battering away at the parking garage and there are three separate streams of water being hosed onto the ruins.

An update for those into demolition photography...

Oh, one thing I noticed on the western face this afternoon: the thunderbirds are gone. (And quite carefully/deliberately, i.e. they're definitely being saved for reinstallation--somewhere, wherever...)

I noticed that, too. I should have brought out my zoom lens for a pic of them...and now gone.

We did report that they would be saved in the last front page story. We weren't told where they will go though.
