    Toronto Toronto | Hyatt House Airport | 45.34m | 14s | Manga | Mataj

Resubmission in August 2025 here - looks fairly similar, but continues to progress.

    Toronto Toronto | St Clair-Old Weston GO Station | 9.13m | 1s | City of Toronto | Hatch

I still hate how the City didn't make Davenport/Union continious with Keele St through the St Clair TMP. It's going to create a completely preventable traffic pinch point with cars "making the jog" along Gunns.

    Toronto Toronto | 7-15 Fraser Avenue | 29.26m | 7s | SvN

Sorry to revive a dead thread here, but I noticed this is still listed as an active proposal. This site was expropriated for the Ontario line and is now part of the OL Construction area. The database should be "Cancelled".

    Toronto Toronto | Toronto House | 186.53m | 58s | Allied | Hariri Pontarini

That's a generous framing given that Allied is bleeding cash from my understanding. There is a reason they are consistently selling assets. Their 1-beds here lease at $3,000 a month... so yea, I'm not surprised by slow lease-up.

Mississauga Dixie Rd/QEW New Interchange (MTO, 1s, AECOM)

Yea, there have always been 4 lanes to the Dixie exit. The project once it's done will extend the WB 4th lane to Cawthra. For some reason the last plans shown publicly did not extend the EB 4th lane to Cawthra, despite showing basically the entire highway platform built for it. I suspect they...

Waterfront Transit Reset Phase 1 Study

GO bus traffic downtown is anticipated to drop a lot as GO expansion comes online - it already has much lower bus volumes into Downtown than it did a decade ago despite your assertions. As off-peak GO services increase there will be relatively few GO bus services into downtown. The Milton line...

Mississauga Dixie Rd/QEW New Interchange (MTO, 1s, AECOM)

Looks like the westbound lanes shifted outward:

Toronto Toronto | East Harbour GO and Ontario Line Station | 14.35m | 1s | Metrolinx

I imagine there is still some ordering of staging left still. Why it wasn't done with the rest of the corridor, I don't know. Once the northern part of the corridor is built they will probably shift the tracks north and rebuild the southern half. Broadview is funded to be extended down to...

    Toronto Toronto | The HUB | 258.46m | 59s | Oxford Properties | Rogers Stirk Harbour

Pretty sure 1 Mount Pleasant is pretty close to 1,000,000. It’s a deceivingly huge building because of its floor plate. That said I would be surprised if it’s rogers as they would need a lot of specialty media related spaces that this doesn’t offer, and they own 1 Mount Pleasant, I can’t see...

    Hamilton Toronto | TD Coliseum Renovations | ?m | 4s | OVG | BBB

They replaced most of the doors and windows along York and Bay. They probably kept more up on the roof… because nobody is ever up there.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

A weekday closure of the LSW with a last minute change? This is going to be a DISASTER. There will be hundreds of people stranded at Oakville GO who don't even realized it's closed and the shuttle buses will be far overloaded.

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

Just the introduction of signals would have triggered 3-5 minutes of delay even at 2am. Morning peak would have been even worse.

    Hamilton Toronto | The Design District 41 | ?m | 31s | Emblem Developments | Arcadis

I do too - but they have site activity going for 188 Cannon and seem to have (some) sort of financing backing them They are an offshoot of Emblem, with the two co-founders ex-VPs of Emblem.. so take that as you will. Where that money is coming from is anyone's guess. Their purchase of 98 James S...

    Hamilton Toronto | The Design District 41 | ?m | 31s | Emblem Developments | Arcadis

There are still starts happening. We have had 2 new towers start this calendar year (48 Ferguson and 188 Cannon) so starts are still trickling in. Likely just not as fast as everyone had hoped. Even 2 starts a year is a very, very strong pace for Downtown Hamilton compared to the last 30 years.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Exactly what bus routes service Lebovic and especially Ferrand? Ferrand doesn't even have a cross-street for buses to run on. Lebovic also does not have an existing or planned bus route on it.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

If we are looking at a ~21 minute travel time on the surface portion of the line, 2 minutes saved means that's a 10% speed improvement. It's relatively substantial. Saying the stations are 330 metres apart in reality, while true, still isn't really helping your case I don't think. "rapid...

    Vaughan Toronto | 31 Pennsylvania Avenue | 210.5m | 65s | 1714574 Ontario Ltd | KFA

Vaughan man.. 65 storeys in the middle of an industrial park.. what are these landowners thinking? It's not 2022. 2000 units here is insane.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

It's just comically close to the two adjacent stations. I mean, the westbound Warden platform is all of 75 metres from the eastbound Lebovic platform. Total stop spacing between Warden and Lebovic is less than 250 metres. It's a joke. Even if you deleted Lebovic, you would be looking at a 700...

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

regarding speed - the Bloor Line between Kipling and Keele takes 13 minutes to go 6.7km with an average stop spacing of ~850 metres - the same stop spacing as the underground part of the Crosstown. This is an average speed of 31km/h. Eglinton's underground speed should be generally similar...
