I agree, and there should be clauses in place if it is a the same contract that says if one extension is ready before the other, it can open. If for some reason the western extension completes earlier than the eastern, it shouldn't need to wait for the eastern to be completed to open both at once.

At the very least there should be concrete barriers on the opposite side of the sidewalk. The small curb and single thin post do no provide enough protection. There should be knee or chest high barriers like on YRT.

Is having the 6 lanes in their final centre position with concrete barrier more costly than having them separated with a grass gap in between? Such as needing longer on and off ramp? Or are they other considerations like having it start off taking up more of the right of way rather than leaving...

Obviously there are elevators at each platform that bring the LRVs down underground to do maintenance and they are there to indicate the moving ground. ;)
