Where do you intend to move to? I find many smaller cities around Ontario (like Belleville, Kingston, etc) are quite expensive and comparable to Ottawa in terms of prices.

Yeah the google maps view here is pre-Canadian Tire construction, so the lane & parking is a bit smaller than that at front. As much as the mall isn't THAT busy, most of the parking lots fronting Carling (in front of the Canadian Tire, the mall and the Loblaws are pretty busy and fairly full...

Wow, that's actually cool and really nice. The project looks better at night than it does during daytime. Will also help brighten up and make downtown feel a bit less sleepy.

I know we complain about random patches, squares and crosses on other projects, but this one - as tall and visible as it is - will be incredibly boring if it indeed is 35ish floors of just grey panels.

The current retaining walls between the building and the sidewalk will continue to be a barrier, impede access and discourage active storefronts/retail unless it is rebuilt.

I wonder if, instead of shelving this project/approval for the next 10 years because Altea is going in, if there was still a way for them to potentially move forward with 2 of the towers on the very east side of the site? It shouldn't be an all or nothing approach.

Bayshore, out of any mall in the region, seems to be doing the best job at activation and events. Good for them.

And sorta good that most proposals are all on the same side. So it will add density but should feel fairly breathable, unlike Rideau Street Canyon where we see back to back towers directly facing back to back towers.

What would be the benefits of a bus lane on Catherine, isn't there only 1 bus route using Catherine today? Its plagued on one side by the 417 and the rest is a lot of low-density commercial buildings... Yet we can't get transit or bus lanes on Carling or Baseline...

I really like the step downs in that corner. Adds a little interest to the building.

Really cool shot. Some of the towers on Rideau are so close together they blend into each other and seem like 1 (CP 3, 4 and Envie). Will be interesting to see the evolution of Lebreton, Dream, Bayview extending the skyline even more west.
