The government wants more space. Asticou is over 250k m2, the previously selected site at Edmonton is around 350k m2, while Carrière is barely 100k. Even if you include the Canadian Tire and everything in between bd Carrière and A5, it's still barely over half the space that Asticou has. Ofc...

I like the optimism, but the new Civic line 2 connection is like 4x shorter than a St-Raymond - Asticou walk, and the Cégeps would be 0.5, 1, and 2km away. It's not really better service if you need to take a bus anyway, not sure you could justify the expense.

Afaik phase 1 is the entirety of the render Harley posted, so midrises, towns and park. Phase 2 is the shaded out high rises in the block that will be left along the highway.
