Weren't they supposed to keep the front heritage facade?

Loving what I see so far, but not a big fan of how those darker panels stick out so much. Would look better if it was all consistent. Can the green roof still be completed in the winter? Or will they have to wait until spring to lay down the sod on the roof.

I know we all like to rag on the architecture choices made in this city, especially for high-rise towers, but I would say that Ottawa generally excels in these kinds of high quality mid-rise buildings. I would rather see dozens of these 6-9 storey buildings go up everywhere rather than tall...

The shorter 6-storey building on the south side of Phase 2 is now fully topped out, while the taller 9-storey tower facing Brookfield is about 4 or 5 stories above grade. Will try to snap some pictures soon.

Assuming they are indeed sticking to the initial renders, then I believe that the podium glass will get some texture to it from the installation of dark coloured mullions/fins.

Yesterday I noticed a lot more LRT testing activity on the eastern stretch of the line between Montreal Station and Place D'Orleans Station. Spotted two double-car trains moving in both east and west directions down the median of the 174 at full speed (~80-85 km/hr based on my car's speedometer...

I wish the southern end of the tower extended all the way to the Mackenzie King bridge. The gap in between the bridge and the tower feels awkward and it would have been better for pedestrian access.

Silly question which I think has been answered before, but are they planning to construct both towers simultaneously or in phases one at a time?

Perhaps a third level of underground parking would have required some limited blasting and excavating of the top of the bedrock, making it more expensive overall. That said, having three levels of underground parking while right next to a transit station might seem redundant and not worth the cost.

I've noticed the aluminum cladding is starting to get installed for the top portion of the tower, but it looks to be the same light-grey colour like the rest of the lower portion. I thought the top third section of the tower was supposed to be a darker colour, as per the renderings?
