Pesky little flaw in this argument - PPP is not meant to work well for 'governments'. If they don't like it because there is not enough BANG for 'them', then maybe ask the actual Public for an opinion? Yeah.. that is the second 'P' out of three.. :)

PPP is the answer my friend.. public money is almost always a "shoe string" offering.. if want to see big things happening you need sponsors! .. private, corporate doesn't matter! AirCan/Scotia Arena couldn't have happen just on gov't budget..

CO2 is a "greenhouse" gas (it is pumped into real greenhouses, so the, so called, "green" plants grow faster.. ergo: the more CO2 in the atmosphere - the greener is our planet! Now, let's call it a "pollutant" + charge quadrizzillion dollars in new taxes to stop this greening! Keep the planet...

Yeah, the precedence is evident across the street from this site, with Wendy's/Tim's shared building directly under the hydro lines seems to operate just fine. :)

    Toronto Toronto | 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

TBH.... it reminds me of a moustache of a certain individual. Very unfortunate set up, completely unnecessary!

    Toronto Toronto | The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

There is something fundamentally wrong with the City's cooperation with utilities (like Hydro) to be able to re-do the entire street, yet still leave the overhead wire mess shown on pics above.

woonerfy/pedestrian treatment of this corner at street level could promote more spontaneous hugging activities.. :)

    Toronto Toronto | 83 Bloor West | 260.25m | 77s | Parallax | Arcadis

Anybody knows why is this little thing on the west side of podium left there? What is so precious to save? Was it just one odd duck not willing to sell?
  15. cogito ergo

    Toronto Toronto | Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Well, for similar effect you would first need a 'panoramic and magnificent views' of the entire station.. :))
