It won't be torn down but there will be extensive renovations to atrium in the last phase of the project.

This project makes me sad. I'm glad I moved away.

Thanks for the explanation. But doesn't cp own the lines through Peterborough as well? There will still be land expropriation, and there is still freight being run on here from nephton, isn't there? I'm very much skeptical about this due to the politics and costs involved. A stop in Kingston...

Can someone explain to me why this should be routed through Peterborough instead of building a dedicated line along the lakeshore? The population differences between the two are massive.

It just never worked in that context. The mall was more of a community centre than the actual community centre was. It ended up being an isolated space that people didn't spend more time than they had to in. I have a feeling this development is going to have similar issues.

I would like to know what all these nimbys think of the massive slum apartment building at 1501 woodbine. Or are we just going to pretend it doesn't exist and this is the bridle path or something?

Can't believe he is full on lying about this and calling the tenants liers now. They have no reason to lie about this. He's going full on Donald Trump.

I think you overestimate how much people in this city like baseball. I just don't see it a roofless stadium ever happening after the history with exhibition stadium.

Right I'm sure lamb would have loved to keep collecting rent on this deathtrap. Let's all be clear about that. Because it's important.

Any ballpark in Toronto is going to need a roof. I don't especially like it but that's the weather we have.

This has convinced me we need a ballpark with a peaked roof we can all call "the birdhouse"

Maybe not a detached, but that's hardly relevant when we're comparing it to a condo. Certainly you can find some very nice semis and rowhouses around there for about a million.

Anyone been to the mall recently? Updates?

All the mom and pop stores have been evicted inside. Mall looks like a ghost town now.

Canada Post Postal Sorting Station (675 Commissioners, Canada Post, 1s, Kingsland Architects)

It's significantly overcapacity, along with many of the buildings they built in the last 5-10 years. They didn't plan for parcel growth. I've worked at 600 commissioners, there's not enough space. There is absolutely no reason to build a second delivery depot right down the street unless they...
