There's nothing false in that statement. It'll be a great building, and Mizrahi has a right to be proud. of it. Is he a narcissist? I'm not a psychiatrist, so I wouldn't presume to make that diagnosis. No doubt everybody playing in the RE development game has a healthy ego.

Starbucks' last day was Saturday. The Pizza Hut in that plaza has already closed.

Man this thing's slow. Nearly three years since it broke ground.

Is it just me, or are there way too many dentists now?

Agree 100 percent. How hard would it have been to at least dye the mortar red?

    Timmins 19 December 2023

The photo above beautifully illustrates the design sense and attention to detail that prevails in northern Ontario [sarcasm]. I'm allowed to be snarky because I grew up in Timmins.

    Yonge-Dundas Square/Sankofa Square (Brown + Storey Architects)

A silly decision. As has been pointed out, Dundas, by the standards of his time, was one of the good guys. He was an abolitionist but knew Wilberforce's bill had no chance of passing unless softening language was inserted. He backed a compromise on the logic that half a loaf was better than no...

Wondering if this is the tallest approval I've ever seen of a building that was NOT on an avenue or main street

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

It's amusing to watch as it dawns on progressives that their champion is turning out to be John Tory in a dress.

The sad thing is, he'd be right.

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

People voted for Chow expecting her to do something to stop the Therme deal and by extension the relocation of the Ontario Science Centre. She didn't even try. And the uploading of the costs associated with maintaining the eastern Gardner is a "win" only if one pretends there wasn't another...

So let me get this straight. In a single move, Chow just threw under the bus: (i) people who wanted to save Ontario Place. and (ii) people who wanted to tear down the eastern Gardner and free up land for redevelopment. Don't blame me, I voted for Matlow

The One, when/if completed is going to be a unique and fantastic-looking building. Pinnacle.... won't.

I'm old enough to remember when Cumberland Terrace was upscale. In any case, Rodeo Drive has some pretty dodgy stuff on all sides.

So at the current burn rate, the $315 million will take us up to, let's say, April. At, say, one floor every week or two, that ought to get us another 20 storeys before the money runs out.

    Toronto Toronto | The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Not talking about adding storeys to the 91 already approved. That's settled. I'm talking about the number of floors above the 31 or so already completed that are likely to get built before interim financing runs out.

For me the only question right now is how many additional storeys $315 million is going to buy
