what floor is your unit on system7? have you been in the building yet? i helped an overseas friend through a purchase in this building and am interested to see how it turns out. kind of a surrogate ownership.

    Toronto Toronto | Seventy5 Portland | ?m | 11s | Freed | Core Architects

just looking at the updated Freed main website... saw a picture in the gallery from the seventy5 portland info page with a pool. is there going to be a pool in this building for real? i didn't see any mention of this listied anywhere in the building features. looks spectacular! but where...

Sorbara (400 Wellington) vs. Freed (anything) - quality

I have experience with both builders. Here's my opinions: Sorbara has done well with location choices. In addition, 90 Sumach and Broadview lofts were successful because the original buildings were already great shells for conversion. It was great to see that Sixty loft turned out as...

    Window Coverings

Hey dt_toronto_geek, Thanks for the post last month. I'll check these out. Do you recall which line of Hunter-Douglas you had?

    Toronto Toronto | 629 King Residences (was Thompson Residences) | 53.34m | 15s | Freed | Saucier + Perrotte

Thanks SpadinaBus. Yeah, 621 looks like the Wynn hotel in this pic.

    Toronto Toronto | 629 King Residences (was Thompson Residences) | 53.34m | 15s | Freed | Saucier + Perrotte

I was walking along King today and I didn't notice any buildings above 4-5 storeys. If Freed is building something higher, how can this pass OMB regs? I'm not doubting it can and may happen, but on what basis can they allow a building to stand twice as high as the rest of the street's line...

Survey of 2bd/ 2bath/ preconstruction prices in toronto december 2009

This is a great compilation Condo Observer, thanks. I esp. like the fact that you kept it to a specific category - 2 bdrm, 2 bthrm, 800 sq ft. A 1 bdrm can be tiring. I don't quite understand the first entry. Is that the correct price for X1 Eames unit on the 30th floor as of summer 09...

Sealed and Polished Concrete Floors, How much?

I has polished concrete floors before. They were great and very low maintenance. Only concern was closer to the windows, it was very cold in winter. I would get them again if I had the choice and it suited the unit.

    I agree it's a write-off as a bedroom.

Modern Condos, The (Empire Communities) - Real Estate -

DKB, You picked a great layout. The 2nd bedroom is a bit small but I like it as a den or get-away room if you're living with a significant other. It has great seperation from the rest of the condo. Contrary to cdr108, I think most units in this development are well laid out. Yes, many are...

    Toronto Toronto | Boutique Condos | 106.37m | 35s | Urban Capital | ZAS Architects

I see. So you are equating practicality to 1.Re-sellability (hopefully this is the correct word), 2. Accessorizing and 3. Retaining style. Well, for your first point on re-sellability, this proves what I stated before - brown is a safe choice. I can't refute that more people will be...

    Toronto Toronto | Boutique Condos | 106.37m | 35s | Urban Capital | ZAS Architects

I don't think this is a valid argument to counter Urbandreamer's argument. Urbandreamer is trying to say that there are more options than just the common brown scheme and at reasonable prices. You are countering by saying that a brown kitchen is more practical for day-to-day life. What does...

M5V Life Condos (TAS DesignBuild, Lifetime Developments) - Real Estate -

Well, it's a crazy time in the market right now. But this doesn't mean the market will be just as hot in 2 years when M5V is completed. Maybe you can use other in-construction comparable buildings and units instead. But I agree on your opinion of the finishes in the Hudson...when it was first...

M5V Life Condos (TAS DesignBuild, Lifetime Developments) - Real Estate -

Hey zeeden, I think there's a similar thread here. Very similar unit in the same building too. Alot of the commnets could apply to your unit as well. http://urbantoronto.ca/showthread.php?t=10581 M5V is looking to be a great development. And from the reading your comments, it sounds...

I'm in the market for furniture (Contemporary)

Have you tried Perez south of King on Bathurst? http://www.perezfurniture.com/product_sofas.asp Also, Bensen is a CDN manufacturer. Yes, it will be higher priced, but the quality is definitely in line with many Italian manufacturers at about half the price. You can find Bensen at Kiosk...

    Layout opinion - The Ninety

At this pricepoint, it's unlikely they will allow floorplan changes. But if they did allow, then... - Kitchen could run north/south in at end of hallway - Replace kitchen full wall with 7-8 foot wall and shift it north 2 feet. The line of this wall would now end where the refridgerator ends...

    Layout opinion - The Ninety

Except for the 10 ft ceilings, there's not very many redeeming qualities in this layout. Hopefully the price is reflective of this? Any other options in the same price range in this building?

    Your opinions on this purchase?

kalaso, do you have more info on this unit? can the layout be found online?
