@interchange42 looks like there's an error in the database address/forum tag. Says Halton Hills instead of Toronto

    Toronto Toronto | The Castle | 55.38m | 11s | Allied | Sweeny &Co

I would almost prefer it if the atrium wasn't enclosed and that people would access the elevators through 8 Pardee, the unassuming single story heritage structure on the east side. Then you could add retail facing the courtyard, maybe opening up a pedestrian pathway midway through 53 Fraser...

Oof this is bad. Adds zero character to the neighbourhood.

Carlaw-Dundas Triangle Public Art - Obelisk (Pierre Poussin)

Why are the benches so close to the obelisk?! They're too close for people sitting to really appreciate the piece in its entirety and only deters passersby from coming up close to engage with it - I don't get it! 🤷‍♂️ I also would've liked to have seen more greenery, but I digress. Anyway, I...

University Avenue (History and Future Redesign)

I actually want to see the park on the west side of the median. There would be fewer cross streets to interrupt the park continuity and would connect better to UofT since you would only need to cross one street, not two. It also lengthens the relatively short block between University and Simcoe...

    Waterfront: Lower Yonge Precinct Plan

(Psst, you can add #page=num to the end of the URL and most modern browsers will link to that page of the PDF - a useful tip I thought I'd share!) ;)...

    East Don Trail Project

Great tour @Northern Light ! I biked up to the trail this weekend to check it out and would never have picked up on the things you pointed out myself - so thank you for the insights! How would you improve the health of slopes in these areas? Is this something that volunteers could do or would...

Some cladding and window wall installed along the Roncesvalles frontage. Looks like the cladding is deviating from the latest renderings. Some nice brickwork with an interesting bond going up along the north side.

I almost want to see a little more ornamentation on the addition.

That sprandrel at the top... Oy gevalt! The contrast between the black mullions and the lighter grey spandrel makes it look way too busy. Using black anodized aluminum siding (or even just black sprandrel glass) would give it a more unified look.

    Toronto Toronto | CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

The top (half) diamond is concave while the other diamonds are convex, which means it loses the contrast between its neighbouring diamonds.

    Toronto Toronto | Canary Block Condos | 42.06m | 12s | DundeeKilmer | KPMB

The lighting at night really exaggerates the dichromatic effect. Compare the two photos below of the same corner taken at different angles.

    Toronto Toronto | Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149.04m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

Not only are the rounded corners gone, but it looks like there's a ton of spandrel glass (yellow) too and waist-height (blue) mullions (Edit: due to there being windows) and top vents (red) along all facades. ?

Rode by this afternoon - window wall has been installed on the south side of the second floor.

I love a cornice and all, but that weird kink at the corner is really bothering me ?

Because some people like it and some people don't?

Here is a shot from 1932 from the Toronto Archives. You can see the Colonial Theatre from the image above in this photo.

    Toronto Toronto | Union Centre | 298m | 54s | Westbank | Bjarke Ingels Group

Not to get off topic, but I think a large interactive art piece like the the Crown Fountain in Chicago with high canopy trees like the silver maples would really suit David Pecaut Square

    277 Victoria (City of Toronto, ?s, ?)

Would this be in the flight path of St. Michael's?

    Toronto Toronto | The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Does anyone know what the purpose of those concrete "teeth" are along edge of the 4th floor are for? You see them a lot in construction.
