Visited from Windsor-Essex (I was born in Toronto and I am an architecture student) but everyone I was with is from county areas and not in architecture and they were taken a back by the density of this street haha. They didn’t like the “texture” (all the mullions) of the towers but overall...

It’s brutalist and I’m surprised to find I like it. Especially in that one view against the glass of the towers on Yonge. This building has a lot of interesting angles that look fairly sharp.

An LED Video wall behind them would be really cool. Lots of interesting ways to program it so ads interact with the doors.

Yeah if u look closely you can see them taking off the walls.

Another off topic comment but I’d love to see a healthy budget disaster or action movie really go to town on downtown Toronto. We need more films that take place not just film here.

I like the idea of a tall building on this site creating a view terminus up the street but what we got is almost not worth it. The only thing I’ll give this development is that there’s not crazy spandrel patterns. It’s fairly uniform, still bad but organized bad

Im pretty sure the golden design wasn’t ever something we were going to get for a few reasons.

Benjamin Moore should have a colours of Canada collection and just have Toronto’s colour be GREY Then require that if u buy it u must use it on at least 50% of the walls in ur home. The remaining walls can only be painted sea foam green. : ) DYSTOPIA

Yeah I totally agree. I understand how this happened. I guess I meant that I too had high hopes and like u said I just can’t see them pulling off the high-tech look that I wanted to see here. I get that luck isn’t really a factor. @TheWell

I actually went to Hudson Yards last month. I thought the towers were beautiful but I feel like @ProjectEnd s Elysium comment was spot on lol. It felt very soulless and sterile and the Vessel (160ft shawarma) was kinda ridiculous w a ton of security telling people not to sit around the bottom...
