The George Brown residence would do well to have some sun-shading (vertical brises-soleil) on the west elevation. Otherwise, looks great!

That is an absolutely gorgeous shot of both L Tower, and the city at large. We're so fortunate to have some very talented photographers on this site.

Which will detract from the truss effect intended for the bridges when the motif is clad over the glazing.

I enjoy the balcony motif. The tower is neo-modernist but the balconies are a bit playful.

Wow! NOW we're talking. Looking forward to this going forward, and seeing how the plans develop. I love how pedestrian and cyclist focused the plans are... very progressive and different than we're used to. Good for RioCan/Allied/Diamond for doing this.

The columns really detract from the brick motif on the podium.

There only ever was one pattern, I was mistaken. The mock-up looks like it has two different patterns because the two different frit patterns are in fact just different parts of the same motif. You can see a bit of both in the glazing in the images above.

I love how people keep referring to Ryerson as if they, as a university, are the architects for this project. They are the client/developer of the project, yes, but the frit pattern and materiality, etc., is the work of Snohetta. The project is in good hands. They've had to make choices about...

The low lighting is probably the strangest thing about it, looking back on my visits to the lower-level retail at Aura, and it wasn't until I read your blog entry that I realized how strange that...
