I don't think so. For the first time, I experienced the red signal at that switch hold the train for about a minute. When we started moving again the train speed was a maximum of 15km/h until Hakimi Lebovic. I wonder if this has anything to do with the maintenance work happening tonight.

The exact same section went down today for the same reason.

Thanks for the info. That makes sense. The ticket counters were boarded up on Thursday.

Construction fencing has appeared in the Great Hall over the last week, closing off the unused VIA counters east of the ramp to the VIA departures concourse. Anyone know why?

Queensway Bus Garage does not currently have E-Buses, which is where they operate the 203 from.

    Toronto Toronto | 1960 Yonge Street | 149.15m | 45s | Biddington | Arcadis

5m deep retail? 2.6m to Yonge is way too close for a 46 storey tower! Set it back above a decent podium! Also 564m2 GCA. That's one of the smallest I've ever heard of for a building of this scale. 123 units/elevator also not great.

    Toronto Toronto | The Dupont | 36.55m | 9s | Tridel | Turner Fleischer

Thanks. That is honestly so stupid. Where side street access exists, we should not be creating new pedestrian hazards on major arterials. I can already picture drivers sitting in the middle of the sidewalk waiting for a gap in the traffic.

    Toronto Toronto | The Dupont | 36.55m | 9s | Tridel | Turner Fleischer

Did they seriously create a brand new mid-block driveway on Dupont Street when they could have just had a driveway out to Shaw Street? Dupont is enough of a pedestrian hazard zone and traffic mess. This will not help.

    Parking - Catch All

Last year the big change was that almost everything south of Carlton/College between Spadina and Jarvis was moved into tier 1 which at the time was $6.75 an hour. The big change this year is the north half of Downtown, Carlton/College to Davenport from Spadina to Jarvis is now moving to tier 1...

Inflationary adjustment in 2026? I thought the 2026 TPA budget was approved with a parking rate freeze. Is this referring to the 2026 prep of the 2027 budget? "Modified rates" is interesting. There is the most to gain not from moving every rate up by the same amount but actually moving high...

Sounds like they keep pushing back move in for people who signed leases, it was supposed to be September 2025.

Did anyone notice the whole Gerrard East project is on hold thanks to the morons at Queens Park? It involved removing just 2 left turn lanes which is now against the law. This project is already 3 years late...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I think the City needed MPAC data to make it work, which is controlled by the province. They were going to ask MPAC for the data last I recall, not sure what happened with that.

I walked by the main entrance to one of the towers on Lansdowne today and it was still surrounded by construction fencing as well. I could see through windows into some units and they looked pretty much done but clearly empty. Mid-rise building and townhouses also looked empty. All windows still...

    Parking - Catch All

IMO the biggest issue is that there are several areas in the middle tier have very high demand and are way under-priced. $4.25/ hour to park in King/Spadina west of Spadina, Kensington Market, St. Lawrence east of Jarvis, on West Queen West (Bathurst-Dufferin), The Danforth (Broadview-Pape)...
