    Mississauga Toronto | 2077 Royal Windsor Drive | 117.73m | 35s | Slate | Gensler

What is with that new public ROW running parallel to Royal Windsor that separates the SE building from Royal Windsor? It will effectively place pedestrians on an "island" between two roads. Looks like a typical suburban planning mistake from 1990.

Waterfront Transit Reset Phase 1 Study

    P. 30 "TTC and Transportation Services staff are exploring this low cost and near-term implementation through re-designation of existing road space, targeting implementation for Q2 2025."

Waterfront Transit Reset Phase 1 Study

Here's a surprise. Dedicated bus lanes to be installed on Queens Quay from Bay to Parliament in Q2 2025. Going to Executive Committee tomorrow. Really exciting and needed interim measure. Jarvis to Bay in particular is literal gridlock at times...

Interesting that 2024 PFR budget has lower Yonge Park receiving $5 million in 2027. Maybe it will just remain in a base condition until then. I don't even see the project on the PFR project page with all the new parks.

    VIA Rail

When booking a VIA rail trip can you can tell if it will be a Venture train or LRC/HEP by looking at the seat map, considering that they have removed the Venture schedule!

    VIA Rail

Because the scheduled time is so much more on the GEXR route, I always assumed it was far longer in terms of milage. I was recently surprised to discover the northern route is actually a shorter distance to London from Union Station. I wonder if the scheduled time using the GEXR route would...

Will Councillor Pasternak deliver a eulogy for the surface parking spaces at this event?

In post #373 it looked like most of the stucco had been removed from the house, now it looks like they're putting a new layer of stucco on?

    15 Romar Cr. (Diamond, ?s, ?)

They should have vehicular access from Stayner or Romar and convert the stub end of Benner to parkland.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Thanks for contacting Metrolinx. Interesting that they say this work is not happening at West Harbour yet declined to answer the question of what track work will requires 8 days of closures.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Niagara trains will terminate at Aldershot due to unspecified "track work" between Burlington and Niagara Falls September 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26. Does anyone know what this is for? Possibly West Harbour connection?

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Thanks. They would definitely need to increase the track speed then. As at top speed of 48km/h (plus acceleration and deceleration) there is no way 8.5km could be covered in 5 minutes. I wonder what is in the works.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The CN switching seemed to be west of West Harbour Station. What about the 8km from James Street to Red Hill Valley?

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Took the weekend Niagara train for the first time yesterday. The 30mph zone extending from Bayview Junction to Red Hill Valley Pkwy is very noticeable and seems to add a fair amount of time. There seemed to be some shorter slow zones further along between Beamsville and St. Catherines. Are there...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Just thinking about this, maybe they held off on Harbord construction because Bloor is being closed at various intersections between Avenue and Spadina for reconstruction work.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I was starting to wonder whether the Harbod/Hoskin cycling upgrades bundled with resurfacing and watermains was moving forward this year. Going to bid committee Wednesday. https://secure.toronto.ca/council/agenda-item.do?item=2024.BA93.10

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

@Northern Light Contract involving $1.5m cycling budget spend is on the bid committee agenda with no specific projects mentioned. Any idea what it's for? https://secure.toronto.ca/council/agenda-item.do?item=2024.BA91.8

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

It would appear that the installation of the majority of the Eglinton TOday project is being deferred until next year. Disappointing. August 2024 Pending contractor confirmation, installation is planned to commence between Avenue Road and Chaplin Crescent (within the limits of the Eglinton...
