Will construction continue though the winter or will it be suspended till spring? If the latter, I hope they remove the 80 km/hr speed limits. Although I’m usually one of only a few that actually go that speed through the construction zones.

One has to wonder if the residents that were opposed would accept ANY redevelopment at all on that site. They kept banging on “we aren’t opposed to development, just not (fill in the blank)”. Very typical Nimbyism.

I’m not entirely sure why this is news! It’s only a 1 km stretch of road! Yes I get that it closes a gap in the road, but there’s a lot of work yet to get this entire east/west road up to snuff!
