I was stopped at the lights right by this yesterday. def someone is going to fall on the stairs right into traffic on macleod. sidewalk is ridiculously narrow for the context.
i find myself going out of my way to check out 11th ave these days. very exciting, a big leap for beltline vibrancy.
respect for the opinion on this next teardown portion but im all for it, its funky but not funky enough to justify keeping.
i wanted one thing from this bad boy, a permeable exterior and we got that!

now bring on the hotels. hard to believe there were no shovels in the ground 6 months ago for at least one.

downtown seems like such an unattractive place to live vs the beltline, kensington, inglewood, bridgeland, east village etc. guess if they build enough residential it could change but that seems like a long way off.
