If anyone has any novel ideas for the upper two floors - I am all ears!

The lower two floors are being conveyed to the City for a City daycare and Community Hub for non-profits on the 2nd floor. The tenants on 2nd floor are determined by the City. The upper two floors are office space that will be owned and managed by Fitzrovia. The amenity outdoor terrace for Block...

I live in this hood, too. What transit? The Queen street car? Commissioners' bus? This isnt going anywhere anytime soon. Dollarama generally has preferential leases and they just moved in. I am curious how the City will view this file as all those theoretical tower block plans are employment...

Yes, all done. The site is tiny. Modular precast trade mobilized, flying panels starting Monday. Going to try to get a timelapse camera to capture the whole thing.

Modular precast panels begin going up May 8th

This is the way (from someone who popped into the new market last Saturday).

You are going to see a flurry of BLD Permit submissions at various levels of completion at the end of March to avoid the new Building Code Changes around increased Earthquake Parameters and a major increase in concrete quantities for columns etc.. This does not mean plans are significantly...

All topped off. An aerial gift from our site team - little Block F on the far right getting ready for foundation pour. Roof of Kent School in progress of getting rebuilt to hold Block D amenity deck. Curtain wall on Block C ground floor and 9th storey Gym going in shortly.

Are the plans in this node executable if they actually get through zoning/SPA? Does adequate servicing exist without major upgrades? Are they still in a floodplain with the Don River work recently completed? What about conflict with the nearby waste station and employment uses? I live near here...

Received a letter from the receiver on Monday that a sale of the property/project had been unsuccessful and that they are working to begin returning deposits to purchasers. A lot of land in this node with no forward path to breaking ground. Very sad.

This is owned by Choice and Woodbourne if you want to update the title.

How would you build something like this? It is a logistical nightmare. Crane pad installation, crane logistics and location in general, hoist would need all sorts of expensive runbacks, material, equipment staging and truck access considering the area and adjacent streets. Gives me the shivers.

Its a Sonder - called "Artesa". Don't know how well its doing but actually fairly affordable for a hotel room in Toronto. See here: https://www.sonder.com/en-ca/destinations/toronto/TOR-BRIX6-712/c35785?sleeps=1 There is around 45 of them in there I think.

It looks like consolidating in 40 St. Clair West which has some provincial tenants already: https://www.merx.com/colliersprojectleadersio/colliersprojectleaderio/solicitations/40-St-Clair-West-Consolidation-Project-RFP/0000271053

From the other day. Sorry I have nothing at ground level, but the fences are down and it is looking good. The locals say the event space was overusing it as their own but I can't corroborate that.

No one wanted to buy this site so they're trying to sweeten the pot with more density?

I don't post much, but I'm still mad about this. The all black looked so good and biking up and down Sherbourne I often shake my head at what they did 🖤

    Toronto Toronto | The Clair | 128.01m | 34s | Terracap Management | Hariri Pontarini

This is the Terracap playbook. Same thing happening at their King and Spadina site. At least they reinvested in the Dufferin and Orfus property for the longer term. I'll eat my hat if we dont see this proposal reworked for something much taller here.
