I also don’t think it will. It’s too exposed. Also, the Royal and the people who paid high amounts of money to be there, won’t put up with that crap right next to the building. They would be made uncomfortable enough to pick a quieter spot.

I love high floors. But I have a general rule to not live higher than I can easily climb. Because elevators are fickle beasts. I’m starting to feel it after 10 floors.

It’s a huge barrier to wanting to live in the area. Hostile busy street with few actual useful businesses within an easy walk.

Now City is saying piss ramp won’t be torn down until Spring. I seriously want the grade level crossing and it gone. It’s usually full of junkies completely whacked out or actively smoking up/shooting up and I’m tired of running the gauntlet to get to the C-Train.

I’m not sure when those particular store closed but I will say that the 17Ave strip is suffering heavy casualties. It seems every few days another business says permanently closed.

I am soooooooooo looking forwards to the piss ramp being tore down and I can cross and enter at grade. So sick of running the gauntlet of people shooting up, smoking up, passed out or camped out going up and down that structure. Never mind dodging garbage and bodily functions. Bring it on!

I’m pretty sure it’s because the ends match up with the new crosswalks planned at 14 ave and south of 15 Ave. It should lower the temptation for jaywalking across Macleod since you’d have to walk to an end anyways.

I have pretty much the best view in the city of it and the tower, but my photos never do it justice. At all.

This layout for 350 ish square foot is much more livable than a super narrow 350 ish at say Park Central. The windows and balcony make a huge difference and the shape is much more usable and open.

I like that with each balcony having just one solid side, it effectively makes your balcony private. I think the building looks great. But they definitely made a disaster of the inside. Maybe they will rethink for the second tower.

It’s definitely not group think. The Hub gets posted repeatedly on Reddit as OMG what IS this monstrosity I am seeing. People form an opinion all by themselves.
