Does anyone know how the appeal went?

I was in the +15 a couple of times last week and it was every bit as busy as it used to be before covid. It was on a Tuesday and Wednesday, and I've heard that Mondays and Fridays are usually slower.

I agree about the perception thing. Whenever I mentioned to people about moving to Alberta one of the first things people would say was ‘I hope you’re at least going to Calgary and not Edmonton’ I’ve only been up to Edmonton a couple of times, but it seems like a nice enough place and yet...

I was initially disappointed with the loss of the brick, but it might be better with there being another building with beige brick a block away. It’s always nice to have a variety.

I wouldn't say it's a waste. @Calgcouver is right, we do need to spend money on improving the downtown environment, but it's all pointless if we aren't somehow adding people to the core. Even if we spend a couple hundred million on improvements, it's not going to attract people unless there are...

It's not great news, but not necessarily bad new either. We still keep the Frankfurt flight, but from another carrier instead. As far as YOW goes, we still have non-stops via WS, but I suppose the lack of competition isn't good. Outside of that, this story is mostly a non-story.

I like this one. It'll be great to see that empty lot filled in, and as surrealplaces said, the street portion, which is the most important for me, looks good.

I'm still getting used to Calgary's streets being numbered, either that or you go out to a new subdivision and all the street names are almost exactly the same except for the odd letter changed here and there. The numbered street names are practical for getting around, but are utterly boring.

Any idea what the changes were for? Maybe they’re changing it from a bank to a restopub? 😁
