If you don't like how close the development on Carlaw is to houses that are nearby, move to Oshawa. You won't experience a redevelopment of this magnitude anytime soon.

It appears like they have finally started putting up the brick work on the lower levels, and installing the curtain wall on the upper residential floors. It looks really striking. I'd prefer three or four of these over showcase.

Well... I agree with BeeRich on that yes, we do care about our neighbourhood. However, I can understand the argument about how it will not allow any natural light to enter their personal living space. They should compensate the property owners who will never see the light of day..literally...

I think it might be, but if you know the site, it would not really make sense with how the site is laid out. If I'm not mistaken, that angle is supposed to be looking at it from the east side of Carlaw just south of Colgate avenue. There is nothing on the south side of Colgate at the moment and...

And why would that be? It's a pretty vibrant and busy strip. Yeah there are some problems with prostitution, but there are also high rise condos downtown where similar acts are performed as well.
