Sure, that's valid. But when the park is built and we're sitting in it enjoying a summer day, it will probably be near the top of the list of the things the park could benefit from. It's just another stupid unforced error by the city.

The people who like that place seem to LOVE it. I know a few people who go there regularly. I like it, but it can be frustrating when I just want to eat—I don't need the show. lol

I had no idea where to post this so I figured here kind of works. Does anyone know why Edmonton doesn't have ANY hotels with outdoor pools? I've thought about this in the past but was reminded about it again recently from a post on Reddit (I think) where someone asked if there were any hotels...

As a father to a young daughter, I can tell you that anything with a water feature almost always wins out when choosing where to spend a day outdoors during the summer. She'll run through a sprinkler on an overcast 17 degree day.

The height restriction was also responsible for the absolutely horrific design of First Edmonton Place, correct? The “street level” retail was built below grade to allow for an extra level of office space? I think I remember reading about that somewhere.

Parking?! There’s more parking available near ID than where they currently are. Especially during the winter months when you would not even need to go outside.ID is also easier to get to by transit, bike, scooter, walk and is closer to more hotels and residences (foxes, Icons, Stantec, etc.)...

That Bomfest crowd looks small. I'm not really (at all) into the electronic music scene but I thought this was a fairly big event that drew ~10,000 based on pics I've seen from past years.
