Hmm, looks like they might have not been able to get the height that they requested...either that, or they just plain ran out of money

It's a shame that this project got reduced to just one level of residential. It looks just odd at that height.

Doubt they ran out of money, they could have easily sold those extra floors. Looks like they could build only to the height of the original building.

What a joke. A total waste of a pretty important corner and what looked like a pretty nice building that was needlessly torn down.

As I've said multiple times before, the old building was a gem that would have looked amazing had it been fully restored and re-purposed, like the Drake or Gladstone, especially given how trendy Ossington has become in the last few years. Now we're stuck with this piece of shit.

Hmm. Reminds me of the 'bunker condo' (I forget the name) on the s/e corner of Sherbourne and Richmond.

Not crazy about the design.

Since 1000 Queen across the street is up for sale, maybe we will see this thing on that site also, but going north on Ossington.

I guess they could not find buyers willing to pay the high price as well having no parking space.

A total waste all around. Lets see who they get for retail tenants.

So what’s next?: The current owners are looking to sell the property in order to downsize and move their stock to their second Worldsew location at 511 Queen St. W., near Queen and Spadina. In regards to redevelopment, with a 45 by 49 ft. lot, the property is not quite big enough to tear down and rebuild for residential use, but the zoning would allow for an extra two storeys, which could be added on to the existing structure.
