I sort of prefer Toronto without the CN Tower. It makes everything else look way shorter than it really is. I mean, if you got to Canary Wharf the buildings are actually quite short (~30storeys?), but because of how they're laid out and the massing it feels really big. In Toronto we get buildings that are actually quite tall looking like midgets next to the Tower. Maybe it would be cooler if we started getting some more Burj Dubai scale skyscrapers to sort of balance it out.

I would love... no kill to see the day when you can barely seeing the CN tower peeking out amongst giants beasts surrounding it on every side. If Toronto were Hong Kong or pre-recession Dubai we may have seen such a thing.
