1954 and Peveril Hill

A few things should be noted. The intersection of Bathuirst
and Eglinton has the wrong date. It is not 1945, rather it
is 1954. The dead giveaway is the presence of television
antennas. There was no television here or in Buffalo
until after 1945.

Another error you have is the name of a street as Peveril.

It is actually Peveril Hill Rd.

The Archives date the photo of the Crosstown office building under construction as 1953, so the vacant lot photo has to pre-date that (the Archives dates the vacant lot photo as 1945+; we need Long Island Mike to date the cars for total accuracy). If one wants to be pedantically correct about street names, the street name is actually Peveril Hill Road North.

To clarify.

The photo of the Regent gas station on
the north-east corner of Bathurst and
Eglinton is the photo incorrectly dated.
This is the photo to which I referred.
The most prominent car in that photo
is a 1949 (or later) Ford.

-------
There is a 1951 (or later) Cadillac
in the photo showing the building
under construction. There is what
looks to be a Hudson Hornet going
eastbound on Eglinton Avenue.
