Sugar Beach. Looks like this place has the 'little old lady' seal of approval. But if they could just make those benches a little lower to the ground.

"A number of ancient structures still populate the Mimico neighbourhood." QUOTE androiduk

Was not this business for many years on the s/s of King West, 1 street + east of Bathurst?

They may have moved but this does not look to be MIMICO to me.

"The Lakeshore", as it was/is known included Mimico, (homes), New Toronto, (homes + industry) + Long Branch. (largely homes + industry)

There are some great pics on the Toronto Archives re Lakeshore Road giving Mimico the lion's share it seems. Major topograpical changes

due to creeks/ravines have altered the area to what is now. These are mostly from Parklawn Road to Mimico Avenue. Few of these have been

documented that I can see, although pics must be available somewhere.

A great many people lived close to where they worked up to + including the late 50's/early 60's. Imagine though, the thoughts of

those who were employed by Rexall Drugs - 68/70 Broadview Avenue, uprooted as they were, to Dixie Road + Dundas Highway

pre the Gardiner Expressway.
