the big problem is that if Ford wins if will kill the momentum we got on major projects on the waterfront and for transit. Stopping or delaying these projects will take Toronto a long time to recover, especially with a new provincial government likely next year.

If you're going to throw random ideas, at least you should know your facts.... the only thing that's been built in recent history on waterfront has been the Chorus Building. Bureacracy and lack of leadership has held waterfront development. The only way anything will get built on waterfront is to partnerup with private developers, set standards on number of commecial/residencial buildings and the absolute height, then let it run free.
 
Perhaps we could rename this thread, anyone but Ford or Rossi for Mayor

Or perhaps anyone but Ford, Rossi, Pantalone, Thomson, or Smitherman for Mayor
 
I agree. This does overlap with the current Rob Ford thread. So, I'm closing this thread.
