I'm shocked they went with Arc card fares and fare capping. They could have opted to go with cash fares for revenue generation with occasional riders but retained the same fare capping for frequent riders, but they chose to go with the full Arc card experience. I wonder if there is reduced administration and maintenance associated with having people tap? Or banking on increased ridership as mentioned.

What is really annoying at Corona station is they have one Arc reader at the entrances to the platform and two ticket validators.
