I love this building. It is sad to see it being turned to condos though. A lot of jobs that could be here are now going to be in more congested parts of the city. St. Clair and Yonge is an underappreciated employment district.
Fantastic conversion, but I don't like how they're meddling with the mechanical floor. It's too bad they couldn't just put amenities on that floor instead of punching out holes for windows.
I'm not a fan of the interiors of this heritage building being stripped of valuable design features. Even if they're being salvaged, once they're sold to different buyers, they will essentially become lost. Also, the lobby may lose its grandeur once it's divided into three.
What is with the top added part of the building? It has nothing to do with the building and ruins its integrity. Really greedy move by the builders on this one.
