Great pic, but the article is a bit off. Wouldn't this be the view they would have had a bout 5 years ago? The western skyline has been built up a lot since the picture was taken: The Ritz, RBC, Bay Adelaide, and much of Cityplace is not in this photo.
 
Thanks for the re-post Urban Toronto! Yeah, the skyline photo was probably taken 08-ish, it's an older one. From that angle and view it probbaly looks eniterly different. Front line condos!
 
The newer "Maple Leaf Stadium" was built in 1926 and was demolished in 1968 after the team left town. It was located on the mainland at the foot of Bathurst St.
 
I always thought they should make the island airport the Central Park of Toronto, the first easy-accessible "large park" from the downtown.
And, a bridge connects the park to the city can be the first suspension bridge for Toronto.
