Not that is needs repeating, but the old façade is a simulacrum. It didn't exist until this tower existed.

If the draw of commercial tenants are to be confined to higher-end services (comparable to the sqft costs), they should hope that Yorkvillians will want to venture that far west of Avenue. Jane would not be pleased.

This has been open for months now.

They closed the one further west.

I think Yorkvillians will have no problem visiting any shoppes that go there seeing as many of them will be living in that building! Lol. They better be high-end shoppes though and not used-books stores or cash advance places. Ugh.
 
...and it's a bank....how boring. Sorry I don't see Yorkvillians running down Bloor St to go to BMO, doesn't quite have the same quirky-chic thing going on as those independent shops.
 
Curious, a Bank of Montreal branch used to be on the west corner, vacating it for Tim Hortons. (Incidentally, I think the facade looks really really awful).
