i love how the renderings show the fountains on university working, sometimes i feel like they will never be on again.

ya, those fountains and all of the medians along University Ave are in desperate need of repair. Absolutely love that wide angle shot from the Ritz Carlton in the hazy conditions!

The 4th last one also shows FCP as a weird stretched rectangle... Weird.

In most, if not all, of their renderings, they've put an emphasis on the building's height. Having shorter neighbours works to their advantage in that regard (though I personally think it looks much better in the context of the urban core; ie surrounded by buildings of similar size).

These renderings are the ones that were done in 2007 when they were first selling the project, hence the lack of BAC, RBC DEXIAm Ritz etc.

Not sure if it's the weather or the camera, but I'd hope the glass would've been more blue as per the renders.

The glass looks darker then expected, though that's not a bad thing. Don't need another BA clone(cladding-wise) here.
