I was passing thru the ATB food court just last Thursday around the noon hour. The food court stalls were packed with patrons, many of whom were students from the neighboring Centre High Campus. Maybe they received advanced notice of the food court closure.

Well that is definitely an end of an era. I wonder if all the vendors are simply shutting down or are any of them going anywhere else?
I wonder what they are "reimagining". People still need to eat and it is convenient to have a selection of several different places that are not expensive and can provide fairly fast service, so people who work in a larger office complex such as this do not have to go outside or trek several blocks to somewhere else.

The vendors were previously promised they'll stay open during renovations. This suddenly changed on January 20 when they were all given lease termination notices effective February 28. None of them were preparing to relocate or wind down. Colliers really did them dirty.

This is a bummer. They could've had seacans outside to keep their businesses going. Something. Some of them have been there for decades.

Yes. I happened to talk to an employee of one of the businesses in this area and they said something about temporarily relocating near to their existing space, not sure exactly what that means or if others will also be doing this too.

Prior posts in this thread gave me the impression that the entire lower level was shut down and walled off for construction, but that's not the case.
It's only the area next to the north escalators that's walled off for construction.

Update from visiting today and speaking to the Mt Fuji owner: The food court vendors have had their leases extended till end of April. After that, they must vacate. There have been no offers from Colliers to relocate them or to return after renovations are complete.

The gym has already been shut down for a couple of weeks. Colliers purchased all their equipment prior to their eviction.

I wonder if RHP absorbs a couple of these places? I haven’t been in RHP since before Christmas, but last I saw there didn’t seem to be any activity on any of the CRUs for its new food court. When I spoke with someone there early last year, they said they had agreements with two places to take spots, but he also hinted that those plans seemed to be falling apart. Just a guess, but I suspect the length of the renovation combined with the loss of some pretty big leases in that building (APEGGA) may have contributed to a change in plans for those businesses.
