The chances of a US nuclear strike are considerably higher than zero. If they decide to destroy Iran's nuclear program, they're going to have to use nuclear weapons. A lot of the facilities are dug in too deep to hit them with conventional weapons.
If they do decide to use nuclear weapons, they're unlikely to just stop at the nuclear facilities. They're going to have to occupy the country afterwards, or what's left of it anyway, leading to tactical nuclear strikes to destroy the Iranian military.
The US has a lot of choices in what they want to do. Iran doesn't have nearly as many.
