TORONTO -- The Blue Jays have found a home for the 2020 MLB season at Sahlen Field in Buffalo, the club announced on Friday. Now the real work begins. Following the club’s announcement on Friday, the focus immediately shifted to the major project of renovations and additions to the stadium.

The Jays would play a few "home" games in Washinton, DC to buy time to renovate Sahlen Field to MLB standards. Sahlen Field is the best non-MLB stadium the Jays could find east of the Mississippi and it so happens to be the home of the Jays' AAA affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons. Given the youth of the Jays, many of them have plenty of experience playing down the QEW in Sahlen Field, while many of the opposing players have zero experience (or a very distant experience) of playing in Sahlen Field.
