Since I mentioned Unbuilt Toronto, the book, above, I'll add that yes, I wish it was more comprehensive and included a greater share of the significant development proposals which failed.

Looking at the Toronto Pending site and knowing of other subway proposals and projects like Ataratiri, it's obvious there are still a lot of interesting failed projects to delineate. Much of Network 2011 was never built, yet that massive plan is absent from the book.

The building itself would have had a resemblance to the PanAm/MetLife Building in New York city.

Lozenge shapes were fashionable in the 60s. Another case is Portland House in London.

If anything, Bucky's plan's got a little of the Empire State Plaza to it.
