Agree. I was thinking the same thing. I thought with all the Flames games there would be people snapping pictures on game days. Is there any visible sign of construction yet? Also wondering if the demolished the Coke Stage which was supposed to happen on Wednesday.

Unlike the arena, there isn't any below-grade floor area. However, the footprint of this thing is gigantic. There are undoubtedly hundreds of footings to pour, and the entire grade level slab. The construction schedule indicates it's made from steel, so it'll pick up.

We won't see anything meaningful until substructure completion in Feb 2022, but only 8 months after it will be structurally complete. Buckle up.

9,000 tonnes of steel out of shops in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. The building will be taller than both the Saddledome and the Grandstand. The elevators are large enough for a full sized pickup truck to be raised up to any level of the building and the design loads are several times normal for a flex of uses.

First steel with the demolished Coke stage in the foreground plus first exterior wall segments being installed.
