I really like the tower portion of Brookfield Place....the street level... well it's very sterile and corporate looking. To be expected I guess.

My first thought when looking at the 6th ave side was....

Up the tower? Nice! It must be about 8 years since I've been up there. A lot's changed.

It's worth it for the views. Only 16 bucks.

The plaza itself looks pretty good. My only gripe is that it won't be a very warm and welcoming public place.... This would have been a great spot for Plensa's Wonderland. Imagine cruising by on the train and passing the big Wonderland sculpture.
Thx for grabbing these pics @Da_Master

Beat me to it with the plaza pics SP. I had one of it from a few days ago when there were more workers on site. I think it looks pretty good. The design is simple, but I really like the space. It seems to flow really well with the Bay building in your picture. I'd hazard to say that it is possibly the best such plaza in the city? The Bow has the Head, but it is definitely sparse and unfriendly. And the revamped 5th avenue place plaza has Outlaw, but it is more out of the way, more shaded and possibly too large. I think Brookfield's is in a Goldilocks zone. It's close to the Core, Bow Valley and 8th Ave. It will get sun around mid-day and it's adjacent to a c-train station. I bet it'll be pretty bustling.

If anything, based on those descriptions of similar spaces, all it really needs to be pushed over the top is a good piece of public art.
