I like the placement of the tower at the south end away from 17th. It’s like there’s a high rise tower there, but at the same time not.

It's a great model for towers on the south side of 17th Avenue to reduce shadowing on the sidewalk.

Definitely not the best photos. I'm trying to figure it out, but this building seriously bothers me. I think it's the total lack of consistency or symmetry when the floors step back - just looks odd on its own. Hoping the materials are good (and we get to see them soon!)

They don’t own the Beltline, so too bad for them.

Honestly, they might not actually care much about this. It is fairly far from them and doesn't exactly change their downtown view too much. Now if this was on the south side of the block, they might care then. Saying that there have been some density additions to 5th Street that have gone through relatively unimpeded so maybe there isn't an issue with density nearby at all.

Because this tall building blocks the view of other tall buildings?
I don't think it's even in Beltline. I think Cliff Bungalow? Or maybe Lower Mount Royal.

I wonder if future builds along 17th will follow a similar style to this with the taller portion set back from the street.
