I'm hoping that when the building is finished the seventh floor will just look like a subtle wave that actually enhances rather than detracts from the facade. We'll see. It could also just look like a mistake.

Today I had the opportunity to tour the inside of MacKimmie as it was under construction as a civil engineering student here. Many thanks to Justin for leading us on the tour!

Much of the mechanical floor has been reduced to this small section, freeing up the rest of the floor for spaces such as meeting rooms

I just calculated the height of this thing btw. The original structure was 48 meters with 13 floors. With the addition of two office floors plus the rooftop floor with the height equivalent of exactly one more office floor, plus about a meter rise about the outer walls for the photovoltaic roof. That puts this puppy at about 59 meters.

Big bundle of photos from a few minutes ago on my way home from class! The cladding is flyyyyying up now! Cladding on the corners and also on the north face has also finally commenced.
