Haven't really seen any progress on this in a few weeks. Drove past today and only saw one guy on site.
Slow pace or work stoppages seem to be common with these smaller builders/developers ... RNDSQR, Indevelopment, Torode. You would think there would not be an issue getting trades ... although single family construction has been robust lately.
Financing, cash flow??

Could it be construction supplies? I had heard that there were shortages with certain construction supplies.
 
I've heard of shortages of studs and other wood products due to the closure of a couple mills in BC because for Covid. No idea if there is any truth to it, but it makes sense.
 
The cost of studs has doubled, and even more than doubled in some cases. My brother in law was going to reno his basement and pout it off for now. I can imagine a site like this would use a lot of studs, and the extra cost could impact the overall cost.
 
Everything in the photo is sloped, it appears when the photo was taken he was in a moving vehicle. You can tell since the grey house in the background has its left wall sloped parallel to the left pole of the building.
