Hi Group,

If there are Two Towers Going Up, I think it will b a Case of how the Dvlpr wishes to Proceed. Time will Tell. The Economy has been Picking Up and if the Finances are in
Place then most of these Projects should Go as Planned, Lets Hope So,

Tnx,
Operater,

The entire main floor has been ripped out, including the exterior walls, and structural demolition has begun on the west side.

Honestly this project is beautiful. It has the potential to be the best fully residential project in Alberta. Insane to think we'll be seeing 1500 new residents plus a new hotel (Fairfield) around the rim of Central Memorial Park alone between 2015 and 2020. Wild. Small changes growing into a paradigm shift.

Edit: haha the database on SSP doesn't even have this project listed yet, and it's in site prep! :p Just goes to show how far they've fallen over there. The partially complete Calgary project diagram can be found at: http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=79809501

Also, do we have an estimated height for this one yet? Considering this is 35 storeys with a crown, and Park Point is 34 storeys and 107 meters without a crown, I'd put this puppy at around 115 meters. That's basically the same height as The Royal. Tower 2 will be about 125 meters.

Does anyone doubt this project will be going ahead?

No. Nothing to do with demolition either. Lots of building come down to end up having nothing built in their place. For me, it's the installed k-rail wall. It shouldn't take more than a day to take down the part of the building that is within reach of the street here. K rails would be an excessive expenditure just for that.

I forgot to update the thread after looking at the DP. It's actually 32 floors and 112m....you were very close o the height.

Oh awesome. My initial calculation was 112.5, but I thought it seemed a bit short. Glad to hear, that's a nice height :)

Good riddance!
