What is the reason behind the AHL and WHL having different fitness centre as the NHL? Status? I feel like they could save some space by making one space that is 1.5 times the NHL one and just scheduling times in the space.

I'm saying this knowing it isn't a huge thing, just honestly curious as it seems space is at premium in the building.
I think it's mostly that the Flames just get their own stuff as the main tenant, everyone else shares the other facilities. Are the Roughnecks going to share the WHL / AHL stuff, or are they left out?

yea there is no way that will fly for the NHL space. The AHL/WHL spaces are shared. Although I think that could've been done offsite as an expansion to the Flames Community Arena or somewhere else. Especially since those teams are prone to relocation. The Leafs did that to expand an arena to become their official practice space.
but that's literally the reason for the attached community arena...the 3 teams can use it from 9-3....chances are one or two team's are out of town if a concert has the main rink. from 3-11 it becomes a public rink

It's labelled as NHL V1 Locker. There is the equipment room and the dressing room off the hallways leading to the visitor bench.
It's actually labelled as NLL/Visitors...so it serves double duty. The NLL/AHL/WHL visitors rooms are behind the east net, labelled NWHL/AHL/Tournament

Looks like, all told...

- Event level club (100-ish capacity), with larger seats and leg rooms behind benches
- 3 bunker suites, with larger seats and leg room
- "Legends Club", with 18 theatre boxes, 10 loge tables, and 2 other rows of ledge seats
- 52 suites
- 2 mid-level clubs
- large banquet room, with a hallway that leads to nothing....note likely hotel/premium connection here
- would expect the large sports bar to be CSEC run, given the service elevator included....the other 2 restaurants possibly 3rd party operators, everything is self contained

I cannot think of another NHL arena that I have seen have so many luxury bowl seat options so close to the ice. The theatre boxes specifically. I suspect those will be like the platinum seats at the leaf games and will be empty for the first couple minutes of the periods. Likely doesn't bode well for atmosphere close to the ice but those lease payments to the city aren't going to pay themselves!

I like the two-tiered upper level, best seats in the dome are the lower press level seats, recreating that with the lower upper level is cool.

It is interesting that there are a whole flight of stairs up to the upper-upper bowl and speaking of stairs... The platform at the west end of the upper bowl intrigues me.

The variety of seating is good, hopefully means for opportunity for entry.

The Saddledome has closer suites to the ice than this arena. Just 13 rows of seating between them and the ice. I believe the second place in the league is Honda Center in Anaheim at 17 rows. Honda Center also has a club level with more suites right above that too. If you can sell suites, you should be able to sell Theatre Boxes and loge seating, which is generally cheaper.

You mean the bunker suites on event level? there's only 3 of them, maybe 50 seats total. Are fairly common with any rink built within last 15 years, leafs had A LOT of them, but I believe turned a bunch into a larger club this season.

Overall I agree, plenty of seating options, but they didn't destroy the atmosphere by spreading the bowl out like rogers. It's nice and stacked.

From what I understand the NHL players agreement requires teams to have their own personal fitness/workout space with some specifics on the equipment, I think its buried somewhere in either the owners agreement or the CBA.

It was one of the issues with the coyotes playing in Mullet last year, there was no dedicated space.
